We are pleased to present a special print edition in collaboration with legendary street photographer Martha Cooper. This is in conjunction with the opening of Ernest Zacharevic’s latest solo exhibition, "Lost & Found," which will be showcased at B.east Gallery in Florence, Italy, on the 28th of September.
The image of the print is based on the iconic photograph taken by Martha Cooper, featuring b-boy Lil Crazy Legs with a boombox. This photograph was taken for Charlie Ahearn’s film Wild Style and later printed on the cover of her book Hip Hop Files published in 2004. Ernest's rendition of the image, painted on 110 East 7th Street in New York, became a part of their 2015 #REPLAYNYC project, which reproduced a series of street interventions inspired by Martha’s photos throughout New York.
With an original painting on canvas being shown as part of the “Lost & Found” exhibition, we are releasing a signed limited edition of 80 prints + 20 hand-finished variants in collaboration with Martha.
