Sheena Liam also known by the moniker “Times New Romance” is an artist who works with embroidery as her main medium. She did her International Baccalaureate in Arts at the University of South Australia.

Utilizing simple green thread on canvas, her works serve as a visual journal of the self and explore the symbolic power of hair within the complex nature of femininity and embroidery as a tool of quiet resistance.

Sheena’s work often revolves around feminine figures. “Women were all I drew as a child, as I grew my thoughts surrounding womanhood evolved and grew but never the subject.”
