Bibichun
Khor Zew Wey aka Bibichun, is a multidisciplinary artist based in George Town, Penang. Widely known for his satire, sharp humor and subversive work, he is one of the pioneers of the graffiti scene in George Town.
With a wide body of work ranging from traditional paintings to street art interventions, his art is tied together through his utilization of satire and popular culture. Bibichun’s work often challenges the public norm in Malaysia through daring, political themes.
While most of his work is often done anonymously, Bibichun has an established studio practice, and has participated in group shows and festivals around the world including but not limited to Urban Folklore (Kunstraum, Innsburk), Weapon of Mass Change, G40 (Art Whino, Maryland) and Beyond Pressure Contemporary Art Festival (Yangon).
